BOMBER BARON - ABOUT THE ARTIST

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Hunter Bishop is the artist for the “Bomber Baron” t-shirt. Hunter is an aircraft mechanic, called Maintainers in the military, and is currently serving as a Senior Airman in the United States Air Force stationed in Minot, ND. Hunter specializes in Hydraulics and is one of the many “Bomber Barons” that are part of the 23d Bomb Squadron that maintains and flies b52s for strategic bombing. The 23d stands ready to deploy and fly its b-52Hs to enforce national security policy and is ready to deliver overwhelming nuclear or conventional firepower to destroy targets, worldwide, at any time. As Bomber Barons, Hunter and his team recently deployed to Qatar where they broke the record with a streak for the most sorties*without a maintenance cancel; previously not broken since the Vietnam War.

While stationed in Qatar, during Operation Inherent Resolve & Operation Freedom’s Sentinel, Hunter was asked to design the “collector coin” which represents the squadron’s time while in Qatar. Below is a replica of that coin.

The "Bomber Baron" is Hunter’s first military design made available to the public. He is currently working on other installments honoring military service men & women. So, be looking for more designs here from Hunter soon.
